Community Spotlight: CentreWorks

This month's community spotlight features CentreWorks, an organization that is close to our hearts and based in Danville, Kentucky.

First and foremost, CentreWorks fosters an innovative, resilient community. Serving the Danville-Boyle County area, and the seven-county region beyond, CentreWorks consists of an accelerator, incubator, and coworking programs that harness the full potential of our growing community. CentreWorks is an initiative that grew out of Centre College, with Andrea and Anthony Margida as the Co-Founders and Executive Directors.

CentreWorks fulfills its mission to build economic and social resilience by addressing community challenges, launching startups, and supporting personal growth. They welcome all people to their inclusive environment where entrepreneurial, social, and economic creativity thrive. CentreWorks approaches every opportunity with the Human-Centered Approach to Innovation (HCA™), which is a collaborative framework ensuring initiatives meet real needs in the community in a meaningful, sustainable way.

Equipped with HCA and the entrepreneurial mindset, the CentreWorks program empowers people to develop innovative ideas and turn them into successful ventures. The CentreWorks FUSION initiative includes community collaboration groups driven to innovate to address local initiatives. CentreWorks LIFTOFF is a starters program for prospective and emerging entrepreneurs; CentreWorks FLIGHT offers one-on-one entrepreneur mentorship; and CentreWorks PURSUIT connects the community through life-long enrichment. By creating this range of opportunities for diverse groups of people, CentreWorks has engaged hundreds of individuals in collaborative relationships and supported ideation.
